We keep your data for as long as you have an account with us, and no longer than we need to.

If you don't sign in for a long stretch, we treat the account as abandoned. How long depends on whether you've ever been a paying customer: 12 months for an account that never subscribed, and 24 monthsfor one that did — counted from the later of your last sign-in or the end of the period you paid for. Your invoices are your records, and we'd rather keep them too long than not long enough.

Either way, we'll email you to say the account is scheduled for deletion and give you 30 days to sign in, with two further reminders before the date. Signing in cancels the deletion. If you don't, the account and everything in it — tracked time, projects, clients, invoices and account details — is permanently deleted, and we'll email you to confirm. Accounts with an active or paid-up subscription are never deleted for inactivity.

You can also delete your account yourself at any time from your account settings, which removes your data immediately. We may retain limited records for longer where the law requires it, such as billing and tax records.
